As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance your online experience, we are pleased to announce that several useful and convenient features have recently been introduced to our SiebertNet web site.

TurboTax® Integration is Now Available!

We are pleased to announce that National Financial Services LLC (NFS), our carrying broker, now supports TurboTax® integration. If you are a TurboTax® user, beginning with the 2012 tax year, this free new feature allows you to import eligible tax forms for your Siebert accounts into TurboTax, thus eliminating the time and effort required to manually enter this information.

Please note that the availability of tax forms for your account(s) with Siebert is subject to their production schedule and tax forms are not available until they are produced by NFS. If you attempt to download your tax forms into TurboTax® but receive a message indicating "The information you have requested from National Financial is unavailable at this time," it is because your tax forms have not been processed and made available online yet by NFS.

NFS has confirmed that it processed and mailed the original tax forms for 2012 for most customer accounts by February 15, 2013. However, NFS filed an extension to process the original 1099s for 2012 for certain accounts by February 27, 2013. The accounts affected by the extension generally hold either mutual funds or REITs which have not provided income reallocation and for which, based on past experience, NFS believes there is a high probability of a reclassification still occurring. In addition, the extension will also include some accounts which require manual basis adjustments and which may fall under one of the following conditions: tech short, out of balance, premium adjustments for some options trades, and unknown basis. Note that tax statements do not become available online or for import until several days after they are processed and mailed. Please also note that, where applicable, tax statements are subject to later correction by NFS.

Please note that TurboTax® will only pull information for the accounts linked to the SiebertNet (myStreetscape) User ID you enter at Please also note that the 1099 import process will include the 1099s for any and all accounts linked to your User ID for which a 1099 has been produced. In order to import the 1099 for the account of a specific taxpayer, you will need to make sure that it is the only account linked to your User ID for which a 1099 has been issued by NFS. Note that 1099s are not issued for prototype retirement accounts including IRAs and Rollover IRAs. If necessary, we can provide you with a separate User ID for each account for which you need to import a 1099 separately into TurboTax. When available, the following current and corrected forms are eligible for import through the new TurboTax® integration feature: 1099-B; 1099-DIV; 1099-INT; 1099-OID and 1099-R.

Please note that TurboTax® will only pull information for the accounts linked to the SiebertNet (myStreetscape) User ID you enter at Here is the step-by-step process for importing eligible tax forms for your accounts with Siebert into your account with

1. Log into your account at their website,

2. Next, click on "Tools" at top of the web page to access the "Tools Center" pop-up window.

3. Click on "Topic List" in the "Tools Center" pop-up window.

4. After accessing the "Topic List," click on the "Expand All" button located at bottom left of the pop-up window.

5. Under the "Topic List," now select "Download / Import Tax Info."

6. On the "Import Summary" page that appears, click on the blue button labeled "Add Other Documents."

7. Make sure the radio button next to "Import from my bank or brokerage" is selected.

8. Under "Import from my bank or brokerage," enter the name of our carrying broker, "National Financial."

9. Make sure the name "National Financial" is highlighted in the drop-down menu and then click on "Continue."

10. Now you can sign on to National Financial to import your eligible tax forms by entering your SiebertNet (myStreetscape) User ID and PIN.
